一、 from then on

要點(diǎn)說明：from then on表示"從那以后、從那時(shí)起"，是固定短語，用于一般過去時(shí)態(tài)的句子中，作時(shí)間狀語。如：

From then on no one killed a seagull. 從那以后，沒有人捕殺海鷗了。

要點(diǎn)串聯(lián)：from now on表示"從今以后"，用于一般將來時(shí)態(tài)的句子中，作時(shí)間狀語。如：

From now on, I will do exercises every day. 從今以后，我每天都要運(yùn)動(dòng)。

二、 believe in

要點(diǎn)說明： believe in表"相信、信賴、信任、信仰"。如：

I believe in her. She is a good girl. 我信任她。她是一個(gè)好女孩。

Do you believe in Marxism? 你信仰馬克思主義嗎？

要點(diǎn)串聯(lián)：believe指相信某人所說的話或相信某事是真實(shí)的，程度比believe in淺。如：

I really believe what she said. 我真地相信她的話。

I don't believe she is a thief. 我不相信她是一個(gè)小偷。

三、well作程度副詞的用法

要點(diǎn)說明： well作程度副詞表示"很、遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)"。如：

This tree is well above the other trees. 這棵樹遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)高于別的樹。

This film is well worth seeing. 這場電影很值得一看。

要點(diǎn)串聯(lián)：far與well類似，也可作程度副詞，表"很、遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)"。如：

Our living conditions are far below the ordinary level. 我們的生活條件遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)低于正常水平。

He studied far into the night last night. 昨晚他一直學(xué)習(xí)到深夜。

四、 start with...

要點(diǎn)說明：start with...表"以......為起點(diǎn)，自......開始"。如：

A 1000-li-journey starts with the first step. 千里之行，始于足下。

要點(diǎn)串聯(lián)：begin with...也可表"以......為起點(diǎn)，自......開始"。如：

The party began with an English song. 晚會(huì)以一首英語歌開始。
